Credit Reports

Know before you owe.

Your credit report says a lot about you. Every credit account, every loan, every financial relationship you've ever had is reflected there.

Each new financial relationship you pursue, whether it's a new mortgage or a credit card, will hinge upon your credit rating. The better your credit history, the better your chances of getting the credit you want.

Your credit report is also your best defense against identity theft. Running your own report every year is a good way to know if there are any financial errors in your name—and if someone else is trying to get credit at your expense.

The site annualcreditreport.com is the only authorized source for free reports. You are entitled to one free report from each of the three credit bureaus (Equifax, Experian and Trans Union) every 12 months.
