Quorum Federal Credit Union Named One of the Best Companies to Work For
PURCHASE, NY – Quorum Federal Credit Union (QFCU) has been named one of the Best Companies to Work for in New York (Small and Medium Companies) for 2010.
The award was granted to QFCU by the New York State Society for Human Resource Management and the Best Companies Group, an independent company managing the Best Places to Work programs on state, regional and national stages around the country. The statewide survey and awards program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in New York, benefiting the state’s economy, its workforce and businesses.
“We are so proud that we have been named among the top Best Places to Work For in New York for 2010,” said Glenn Shuster, Vice President of Human Resources at Quorum. “I knew we had an amazing story to tell in regards to our culture, values and how we treat each employee as a partner in our mission.”
Quorum Federal Credit Union is a not-for-profit, federally-insured financial institution. “People helping people” was the philosophy that opened Quorum’s doors in 1934, and it’s what has made it one of the largest credit unions in Westchester County today.

Forty companies were named to the Best Companies to Work for in New York list. The winning companies were assessed on the basis of their workplace policies, practices, philosophies, systems and demographics. Employees within nominated companies were also asked to complete surveys used to measure individual experience.
The New York State Society for Human Resource Management and Best Companies Group (www.bestcompaniesNY.com) formed a partnership to launch the awards program in New York State in 2007. In addition to the partnership, the program is supported by the following organizations: Presenting Sponsor Right Management, Supporting Sponsor Jackson Lewis LLP and program partner The Business Council of New York State. The 2010 program is the third consecutive year of the awards.
