April 17, 2023 – Quorum Federal Credit Union has won a Diamond Award in Financial Education for its Learning Hub during the Credit Union National Association’s (CUNA) Marketing & Business Development Council’s awards competition, presented at the CUNA Marketing & Business Development Council Conference, March 26 – 29th in Orlando, Florida. This marks Quorum’s second win for its Learning Hub, originally taking home a Diamond Award in Content Marketing in 2021.

The Diamond Awards honor excellence in credit union marketing and business development, and recognize credit unions in 35 categories, ranging from direct mail to website marketing to video and radio commercials to social media. Judges evaluate entries based on strategy, design, production, creative concept, copy, communication, and results.

This year’s Diamond Awards competition received 1,246 entries from financial institutions across the country hoping to be selected for one of the prestigious awards – 91 credit unions won Category’s Best Awards and 244 won Diamond Awards. In total, 159 credit unions received awards.

“We’re honored to have been recognized by CUNA once again for our Learning Hub,” said Carlene Armetta, Chief Marketing Officer at Quorum. “Each year, we look for ways to deliver more value to our members. Providing comprehensive, unbiased information to our members on a variety of financial topics for a wide range of life stages, has been a great way to establish trust and earn our members’ business. They know they can turn to us when making big financial decisions, like how to evaluate a savings account, or how much you need to save up to move out of your parents’ house; they know they can turn to us to get perspective on current events, like the recent bank failures or how Federal Reserve rate changes can impact finances. They can also come to us to learn more about financial terms like dynamic pricing or zero-based budgeting.

“This past year, we expanded our content to nearly 400 articles and added two new categories to our menu of subjects: “Cybersecurity + Privacy” (information about the latest online scams and how to stay safe from cyber thieves) as well as “Luxury + Lifestyle” (an “aspirational” section for some of our more affluent partners on what to do with their disposable income),” Armetta continued. “We’ve also migrated and redesigned our Learning Hub, which helped the Hub feel like a cohesive part of our website, and made it easier for users with real financial problems and questions to find our content via Google Search.”
