PURCHASE, NY – Quorum Federal Credit Union received the Interactive Media Awards’ (IMA) “Best in Class” award in the Financial Information category for its newly redesigned website.
The Best in Class award is the highest honor bestowed by the IMA to participants exemplifying the very best in planning, execution and overall professionalism. Competition participants were judged based on five criteria, including design, content, feature functionality, usability and standards compliance.
“We’re thrilled our website was recognized by the IMA,” said Kimberly Schade, Vice President of Marketing and Member Services at Quorum. “Last year, we decided to create an enhanced, fresh and modern member experience that would appeal to our rapidly growing and increasingly remote 70,000+ membership base. To achieve this, we launched a refreshed brand, new website, and new online and mobile banking platform that together represents a user-friendly and functional banking offering on par with any financial institution’s in the industry. The IMA award is validation that we’re on the right path.”
Quorum’s web agency, Adventure House, describes the website as “an opportunity to break free from the typical credit union website experience.” Alexander Acker, President of Adventure House, said. “By simplifying the content and utilizing a modern interface tailored to the device it’s being viewed on, we were able to provide members with a better, faster user experience.”
Member satisfaction has always been a top priority for Quorum. “Our members are almost two times more likely to recommend Quorum to a friend than customers at other banking institutions*,” said Schade. “And we’re very proud of that.”

The Interactive Media Awards (www.interactivemediaawards.com) was created by the Interactive Media Council, Inc. (IMC), a nonprofit organization of leading web designers, developers, programmers, advertisers and other web-related professionals, to elevate the standards of excellence on the Internet and offer winners a boost in marketing and exposure. IMC serves as the primary sponsor and governing body of the Interactive Media Awards, establishes the judging system and provides the judges for the competition.
IMC, formerly known as Benjamin Services Group, Inc. (BSG), was originally created in 1998 as a loose collaboration of like-minded web professionals providing application development, creative services, e-business consulting and other marketing-related services to new and established businesses in the New York City area. Following the downturn in the New York web services marketplace, BSG began a greater focus on professional development and skill set collaboration among existing and new members, forming the beginning of a group dedicated to elevating standards among web professionals in usability, compatibility, code quality, content and more.
In 2002, BSG was formally dissolved and the Interactive Media Council was established. In 2006, IMC launched the Interactive Media Awards as a method of providing accomplished and talented web professionals with the endorsements and tools necessary to be recognized in the marketplace as leading providers of top-tier services.
Adventure House (www.adventurehousenyc.com) is an award-winning web and digital marketing agency that helps companies achieve high customer engagement. The site was developed in collaboration with Adventure House’s web development partner, Off-Site Services.
